Beschrijving Tuareg Trail(complete)
A vibrant and energetic symphonic representation of a Tuareg caravan. Especially suited for educational concerts for primary and secondary school children. Are you looking for interesting new music for young audiences?
Nowadays most concerts of symphony orchestras are mainly visited by a greying audience. Although there is obviously nothing wrong with catering for the needs of 50+ listeners, it is also desirable for any orchestra to attract more youthful audiences.
Now available and especially suitable for this target group is TUAREG TRAIL, a vibrant and energetic symphonic representation of a Tuareg caravan. The hardships of these enigmatic desert dwellers expressed in an accessible melody line especially appeals to young listeners and will help bridge the gap between popular and classical music.
In TUAREG TRAIL the 7/4 time signature in the marimba represents the incessant walking of the camels; the high violins tones musically mimic the fierce and unforgiving sunlight and 16th notes groups in the main melody symbolise the water for which man and animal crave. Approximately midway the piece the caravan is surprised by a sudden sandstorm and you can hear the panic this causes in the various polyrhythms (e.g. triplets over duplets).
